More About Imperatives
Remember that to make an imperative statement, the subject "you" is implied and not directly said. An example of an imperative is "Sit down." Negative imperative statements often have "don't" in them: "Don't forget to wear your seatbelt!" We know who the speaker is talking to even though the subject is not directly mentioned.
